Separation and divorce can alter the way a family operates, but both parents can continue to play an active, supporting part in their children’s lives. Co-parenting classes provide parents with practical techniques for communicating, resolving problems, and fostering a healthy parenting partnership that prioritizes their children’s needs.
Parents living in and around the Grovetown, Georgia area can take co-parenting classes through us at CorePoint Counseling & Coaching. These scheduled educational sessions are designed to help parents collaborate even when they are no longer in a relationship. Parents can attend together or separately, but whenever possible, it is best to attend together.
As part of our co-parenting classes, we will discuss communication strategies, conflict resolution, the impact of separation or divorce on children, and methods for increasing home consistency and stability. The idea is to help parents prevent unnecessary conflict and keep children out of adult arguments.
Our classes follow the state-approved “Transparent” curriculum and meet the requirements for Georgia’s 10th Judicial District’s four-hour parenting class for divorced or separated parents. We ask that participants arrive 15 minutes early to complete the registration form and be sure to bring your completed co-parenting questionnaire that was emailed to you.
The cost for co-parenting classes is $40 per person, and advanced payment is essential due to limited seating. Missed classes are non-refundable, but participants can reschedule for a future session.
