At CorePoint Counseling & Coaching, we offer a family violence intervention program that helps individuals throughout the Grovetown, Georgia area change harmful behaviors and create better relationship patterns. Our program emphasizes accountability, nonviolence, personal responsibility, and safer interactions with intimate partners and family members.
The family violence intervention program is based on the understanding that abusive behaviors can be learned and reinforced over time. Participants are asked to consider the ideas, behaviors, and habits that contribute to control, intimidation, or violence. Through guided education and group engagement, they can begin to replace harmful behaviors with more polite communication, healthy conflict resolution, and responsible decision-making.
Our program adheres to the approved Choice Theory Method standard and is delivered as a 90-minute weekly session over 24 weeks.
Throughout the family violence intervention program, participants work toward several goals, including the following:
- Accepting Accountability: Recognize damaging actions without denying or deflecting blame.
- Changing Thought Patterns: Recognize the beliefs that contribute to abusive behavior and practice healthy responses.
- Prioritizing Safety: Consider how your personal choices affect partners, children, and other family members.
- Developing Skills for Healthier Relationships: Learn how to respect others, communicate effectively, and resolve conflicts without violence.

Our knowledgeable and supportive facilitators strike a balance between direct accountability and respectful support, resulting in a controlled setting in which participants can learn, grow, and strive for real change.
At CorePoint Counseling & Coaching, our family violence intervention program is available to people located in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA), including Martinez, Evans, Augusta, Hephzibah, and Grovetown, Georgia, as well as North Augusta and Aiken County, South Carolina.
